Business Litigation
Complex business litigation, representing both business plaintiffs and defendants, is a mainstay of the Vose Law Firm’s practice. The firm’s attorneys have handled a wide variety of trial and appellate matters in both state and federal courts and before arbitration and administrative tribunals. Their experience includes lawsuits involving disputes in many areas: contracts, unfair competition, business torts, commercial real estate, land titles, environmental matters, partnerships and corporations, intellectual property, and many other areas of business endeavor.
Commercial Real Estate
The attorneys of the Vose Law Firm have practiced in the fields of real property, land use and eminent domain litigation for their entire careers. While an Assistant City Attorney for Orlando and while she represented various central Florida cities as City Attorney, Ms. Vose had extensive experience writing and interpreting zoning and land use ordinances.
Ms. Vose has also been involved in significant land use litigation on behalf of public clients as well as private clients. The reported case of City of Orlando vs. The School Board of Orange County was handled by Ms. Vose and helped establish the appellate law in Florida relating to the effect of municipal zoning on other public uses.
The firm's practice also includes an extensive transactional real estate practice. From 1982 through 1990 Ms. Vose was Chairperson of the Real Estate Department of the Shutts & Bowen Orlando office. During that time she represented numerous private and public clients in all aspects of real estate transactions including negotiations, contract drafting, title searches, closings, and issuance of title insurance policies. She has been a member of the Attorney's Title Insurance Fund (formerly Lawyer's Title Guaranty Fund) for 30 years.
Over the last 20 years, Ms. Vose has regularly closed commercial real estate loans for various banks including United Heritage Bank, Regions Bank, AmSouth Bank, SouthTrust Bank, First National Bank of Central Florida, Mid-State Federal Savings Bank, and Security National Bank.
Local Government Representation
Over the last 32 years, Ms. Vose has been the city attorney for 7 central Florida communities including Winter Garden, Edgewood, St. Cloud, Longwood, Windermere, Oakland and Eagle Lake. She has also represented numerous other local government entities including the Green Swamp Land Authority, the North Lake County Hospital Board of Trustees and Orange County.
